Restylane

Injections of Restylane-a filler made from hyaluronic acid, which is found naturally in our bodies-can help restore a healthy, youthful appearance by filling in wrinkles and plumping up thinning or sagging facial areas. It is also used to give more definition to the lip border.
Restylane has proven to be a popular procedure, as patients are up and about immediately after treatment. The procedure is fast, requires little recovery time and produces immediate results-although it is important to remember that the results are not permanent. You will need to attend follow-up treatments every six months or so. Unlike other fillers, like collagen, Restylane contains no animal proteins, eliminating the possibility of an allergic reaction to the proteins.

Initial Consultation
In your initial consultation, will evaluate your health, discuss your medical history and assess the contours of your face. They will then review your goals and make recommendations based on their evaluation. The techniques used in Restylane injection will be described in detail, and informational materials will be provided. Be sure to notify them if you have any allergies or active skin issues.
What to Expect
Before the procedure, the area to be treated may be numbed. Restylane is then injected with a fine-point needle.
For the first six hours after treatment, do not exercise or ingest alcohol, and avoid contact with the treated area. You may experience redness or swelling, but this should disappear in less than a week. Until these symptoms disappear, patients should avoid excessive exposureto UV rays and extreme cold.
Follow-up treatments before Restylane has completely settled in may increase its effectiveness. Restylane last from 8-12 months.
